What is Complete Medicine?

Complete Medicine is a direct care endocrinology clinic that focuses on lifestyle optimization to prevent, treat and, if possible, reverse chronic metabolic diseases like diabetes, obesity, thyroid disease and high cholesterol. We offer comprehensive, affordable, and personalized care and coaching.  Adults of all ages can be seen.

 

Can I contact my physician after hours? And how?

Yes.  Because illness doesn’t always respect regular office hours, you may call, text or email your physician directly.  

What sets Complete Medicine apart from insurance-based medicine?

We have returned medicine to its root values of clinical excellence and compassion for each patient. We promise accessibility, convenience and affordability. We communicate directly with other physicians involved in your care and are always transparent advocates for our patients in an otherwise murky healthcare system.

 

What does being cared for by Complete Medicine entail?

Each patient receives a 60 minute initial consultation with Dr. Thangudu where your medical history, current issues and individual goals will be discussed. Dr. Thangudu will typically schedule a phone visit with you 1-2 weeks ​after your initial visit to ensure you are staying on track. Together you and Dr. Thangudu will determine frequency of follow up via phone, video chat, e-mail, text or in-person. Your care will be tailored to your needs every step of the way.

Does Complete Medicine accept health insurance?

No.  Our model of care centers on a direct, personal relationship between you and your doctor. Insurance can be helpful in catastrophic situations, but we feel insurance companies should not have a voice about the accessibility, quality or cost of your everyday health care.

We forgo insurance in order to save our patients from the arbitrary, intrusive decisions that inevitably follow with third-party payers and ultimately lead to poor quality of care. This direct arrangement enables us to spend the time needed to care for our patients and allows us to offer wholesale prices on laboratory tests, imaging, and procedures at a fraction of the cost compared with what patients pay with insurance.

As a patient of Complete Medicine, will I still need health insurance?

Yes. We recommend that our patients continue to carry health insurance in the case of catastrophic medical events such as hospitalization or surgery.

 

If I have Medicare, can I still join Complete Medicine?

Yes. Your doctor will not bill Medicare for our services. Medicare will still cover any laboratory testing, imaging, medications, or hospitalizations prescribed by our office

 

What if I want to cancel my membership?

No problem. If you are not completely satisfied with our care you may cancel at any time with no penalty. We require 30 days written notice.
